My 2nd Grade Adventures

V.Crowell: I grew up on Long Island (New York). I was involved in the school chorus, orchestra, chamber orchestra, softball team and cheerleading squad in school as well as volunteered as an Assistant Pee-Wee Coach for baseball. I moved to Texas when I was 16 and graduated before my next birthday from Granbury High School. After High School, I attended TCU and was able to student teach in Montreal, Canada for a month. I began teaching 4th grade in Everman after graduation in May 2003. I taught there for 7 years before coming to Eagle Mountain - Saginaw. I have taught 5th grade for the last 2 years. For the 2012-2013 school year I will be teaching 2nd grade and I am ready for the challenge! I got married in 2006 and had my son Nathan in 2007 and my son Alexander in 2011. I also have a dog and a cat at home to keep me busy. My family is very important to me and I try to make my classroom feel like a home for my students as well. I try to instill a sense of "family" in my classroom so that each child helps take care of each other. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in grade school. I have a true passion for teaching and I love kids.
